Leading Colorectal Care
At the Center for Colorectal Care, we are proud to offer leading-edge, patient-centered care for colorectal conditions. Our dedicated team, led by the highly skilled Dr. Ashlee Godshalk Ruggles, brings expertise in both cancerous and benign diseases of the lower GI tract directly to our community.
Dr. Godshalk Ruggles’s approach to colorectal health emphasizes minimally invasive surgeries, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery, using the state-of-the-art da Vinci surgical system, as well as advanced endoscopic procedures. This expertise is vital in our fight against colorectal cancer, which, according to the American Cancer Society, ranks as the third most common cancer diagnosis in the United States.
The suite of services at the Center for Colorectal Care encompasses comprehensive surgical management for a variety of conditions, such as:
- Cancer of the colon, rectum, and anus
- Benign diseases including diverticulitis and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
- Anorectal disorders such as abscesses/fistula, fissures, pilonidal disease, and hemorrhoids
Our patients benefit from the uniquely collaborative environment at Capital Health. Here, we ensure seamless integration with gastroenterologists, oncologists, urologists, and other specialists. Our advanced imaging and diagnostic tools are conveniently available under one roof, providing a streamlined experience for our patients and a collaborative platform for healthcare providers.
