Treating the whole you.
There’s more to you than your cancer, and we don’t want you to forget that. That’s why we provide a variety of wellness programs to address your mind and your spirit, as well as your body.
Most of these classes and programs are held at the Capital Health Medical Center in Hopewell and some are offered via Zoom.

- Enhanced physical functioning
- Improved sleep overall
These classes are free to all Capital Health cancer patients, thanks to a generous contribution by the estate of the Sandra L. Capelli Foundation.

Strength & Fitness Classes
You can take charge after this life-changing event and really improve your quality of life! Exercise is your secret weapon during and after cancer treatment. It can help you not only survive, but thrive. Exercise is also an excellent way to reduce depression, anxiety, pain, and discomfort while providing you with the energy to do the things you love. This class focuses on helping you maintain your quality of life by protecting and enhancing your strength, flexibility, and balance.
These classes are held Wednesdays from 4:30-5:15 pm at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell (Suite 405) and are available at no charge to Capital Health Cancer Center patients in active treatment or who are within eight months of their last treatment.
Each quarter we hold two-hour retreats that will take the patient through an opening meditation, slow-flow yoga combined with breathing techniques to reduce stress and tension, led by a Capital Health yoga therapist. The patients will also enjoy a healthy cooking demonstration led by a Capital Health Cancer Center registered dietitian and certified specialist in oncology nutrition. The retreat wraps up with a restorative yoga segment to bring complete relaxation to our patients.
