IMPACT Program
Cancer treatment can be lifesaving—but it can also leave lasting changes to your body, your relationships, and your sense of self. At Capital Health, we believe survivorship includes more than follow-up scans and checkups—it also means feeling whole again. The IMPACT Program at Capital Health Cancer Center is designed to help women navigate Intimacy, Menopause, and Pelvic Health After Cancer Treatment.
Whether you’re experiencing discomfort, hormonal changes, or relationship challenges, our experts are here to help you address the physical and emotional effects of cancer treatment and reclaim your confidence and comfort with intimacy.Â
Who We Help
The IMPACT Program is designed for women who have undergone treatment for breast cancer, gynecologic cancers (ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar), colorectal or anal cancer, and other cancers that may affect hormonal balance, pelvic function, or sexual health. The program is also for women with genetic mutations that increase their risk for cancers and have undergone treatments that may have affected their pelvic and/or sexual health.
Treatments for these conditions may affect your:
- Vaginal and pelvic health.
- Libido and sexual function.
- Emotional well-being and body image.
- Hormonal balance, including early or sudden menopause.
- Bladder and bowel health.
- Relationship intimacy and communication.
Â
