Oasis Salon & Wellness Spa is a full-service spa, hair and nail lounge open to the public and conveniently located at Capital Health Medical Center. Spa services include skin care, massage, body treatments, and hair & nail services.
The Oasis Salon & Wellness Spa uses the finest quality ingredients including some certified organic and vegan products. We provide services that are guest-centered, warm, and caringly delivered by a qualified team of experts.
Additionally, we have special protocols for those with a compromised immune system and follow the highest sanitation standards.
Just for You Center
Nestled within the Oasis Salon and Wellness Spa is The Just for You Center wig boutique. In our private oncology suite, you will receive a complimentary consultation with wig fitting, or hair pieces. Wigs, hair alternatives, accessories, wig cutting and styling services for cancer patients are also available.
Oncology Massage
Studies show that gentle non-invasive massage for people affected by cancer can reduce pain, fatigue, nausea, depression, and anxiety. Oncology massage can create an immediate effect bringing comfort and promoting a welcome distraction from your condition. Our therapists are trained to understand how cancer and cancer treatments can affect the body.
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)
We offer the Vodder technique — a non-invasive manual massage technique that encourages lymph flow, moving fluid from your swollen areas into a place where the lymphatic system is working normally. Very different from traditional forms of massage that rely on deep and rigorous rubbing, MLD is targeted to a specific area, and is extremely gentle. When performed correctly with the correct pressure, direction and speed, this low intensity treatment can greatly enhance recovery and facilitate drainage.
Daisy Makeover Program
While undergoing cancer treatment, some patients may experience hair loss or other appearance changes due to the medication prescribed by their doctor. This change in appearance can affect your overall confidence and make cancer treatment feel even more frustrating than it already is.
At Capital Health, our Daisy Makeover Program employs personalized, professional makeover artists to help enhance your natural beauty in a fun and informative setting. These licensed cosmetologists provide patients with safety tips on product ingredients, as well as beauty care advice that you can take home with you.
From choosing scarves and hats, to make-up application, to the do’s and don’ts about certain beauty products, this program helps patients feel more comfortable in their own skin than ever before.
